Your monthly donation will provide a dependable source of income that will afford continued enhancements to our programs and the home-like environment for our residents and clients.

Honour a Loved One’s Memory
Commemorate the life of your friend or loved one with a remembrance gift in their name.  The family or designated person will receive a letter informing them that a charitable donation has been made in their family member’s name.  Gift amounts will not be shared.

Honour Someone Special by Making a Gift in Their Name
Celebrate an anniversary, birthday, graduation or any other special occasion while supporting the work of The Good Samaritan Society. We'll send a personalized card to the person you choose to honour, announcing that a gift has been made in their name, and you'll receive a receipt for your tax-deductible gift.

Participate in Fundraising Events
Throughout the year, The Good Samaritan Society hosts several fundraising events including our annual British Columbia and Alberta “Spirit of Caring” Golf Tournaments. Gifts are always accepted for silent auction items and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Gifts in Kind
Donations of items, collections or other valuables can be put to immediate use in supporting The Good Samaritan Society Programs and Care Centres.  If you have an item you would like to donate, please contact Fund Development at 780.431.3757 or toll free 1.877.437.3600.

Membership
Members of The Good Samaritan Society are part of a charitable, not-for-profit organization that is involved  in carrying out the directive of Jesus to look after those in need as given in the parable of the Good Samaritan to “go and do likewise” (Luke 10:37).  Your membership fee will strengthen the spiritual aspect of our holistic care as these dollars are directed to provide pastoral care as we believe the spiritual component is vital to the well-being of those we serve.  You can be confident that your lifetime membership gift will increase our Pastoral Care Endowment Fund and make a difference in the lives of those within our organization.

Through CanadaHelps
Making a donation is simple.  Select The Good Samaritan Society, identify any special requests associated with your gift (memorial designations, specific project requests, frequency of gift, etc.), and begin the payment process. Once the donation has been paid for, you will receive an immediate, secure PDF tax receipt, issued by CanadaHelps, by email. CanadaHelps then disburses the funds (less a 3% transaction fee) to The Society, along with any special requests associated with that gift, and in the manner you specified at checkout.

Matching Gifts
Double your gift. Find out if your company has a Matching Gift Program. A Matching Gift is a corporate gift that either equals or exceeds your contribution to The Good Samaritan Society. Ask the human resources department to provide you with the necessary form to fill out and send to us.

Volunteer your Time and Talent
We consider volunteers to be an integral part of The Society. Volunteers enhance care to residents and enrich their lives. In addition to personally rewarding and important volunteer tasks, The Society provides volunteers with orientation, training and support, and further educational opportunities.  Become a Volunteer today!
