Mission Effectiveness
The Purpose
To support the mission
and values of The Good Samaritan Society by;
- Strengthening the
spiritual and religiuos aspects of holistic care;
- Cultivating and
supporting and ethical culture; and
- Building
relationships with the Lutheran community and
community-at-large.
Guiding Principles
The guiding principles
of Mission Effectiveness are grace, vocation and
inclusiveness. All three contribute significantly to
“what it means to be Lutheran” and thus shape the
purpose of Mission Effectiveness in the context of a
Lutheran social service organization.
Grace-Vocation-Inclusiveness
Those Served

Alberta-British Columbia District of the Lutheran
Church-Canada (LC-C) and its president and all other
Lutheran churches in the two provinces.
The present membership of The Good Samaritan Society
consists of approximately 800 Lutheran and
non-Lutheran members.
