23 Designated Supportive Living Suites
50 Independent Living Apartments (Life Lease)
Royal Oak Manor offers both supportive living and independent living.
The Designated Supportive Living program consists of 23 units (19 studios and 4 one-bedroom suites) and offers residents the flexibility to prepare their breakfast and lunch in their own suite, if they choose. Residents pay rent, which includes their daily supper meal, housekeeping and linen service, and TeleCare® emergency response service. Optional services include breakfast, lunch and personal laundry service.
To qualify for the Supportive Living program residents are assessed as needing a certain level of daily care assistance. Application for admission is coordinated through Alberta Health Services. Contact the Lacombe Community Care Office for assessment at (403) 782-6535.
Royal Oak Manor also offers 50 Independent Living or Life Lease Apartments. A variety of floor plans are available ranging from 600 sq. ft. one bedrooms to 1370 sq. ft. two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Appliances are included. Each apartment has its own kitchen, a spacious three-piece bathroom, ample storage and large bright windows. Tenants furnish their suites to suit their personal tastes and lifestyles. Optional services include meals, housekeeping, laundry and parking.
Life Lease tenants pay an entrance fee (minimum 35% of the value of the apartment) and are granted a lifetime lease. The lease may be terminated by the tenant with 3 months' notice. When the lease is terminated, the entrance fee is returned to the tenant, less a small remarketing fee. Tenants pay monthly rent for their share of operating costs of the building.
