The Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre was built in 1973 with an addition made in 1991. This facility houses three different populations; frail elderly, psycho geriatric illness or developmentally disabled and Alzheimer's type dementia.
The addition to this facility became home to Occupational, Physical and Recreational Therapy, Pastoral Care, Social Work and Volunteer Services. There is also a canteen which is operated by a volunteer group, Extended Hands.
Admissions are coordinated through Capital Health Authority Central Placement and Assessment Services (780) 496-1300.
