The goal of the clinic is to help seniors remain as independent as they can be within their community by providing primary health care or partnering with your family physician.
- The clinic is just like a doctor's office, but geared towards seniors.
Appointment times allow the clinic to:
- Assess your health and deal with problems you may have;
- Develop a treatment plan to help you be as healthy and independent as you can be;
- Discuss this plan with you and your family/caregiver;
- Make contact with needed community services;
- And partner with your family physician in managing your ongoing care.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
The clinic sees seniors with complex problems that reside in South East Edmonton and surrounding areas. The team includes physicians with training and an interest in caring for seniors, nurses with advanced training in geriatrics, a pharmacist, a physiotherapist and a unit clerk/receptionist.
You can be referred to the clinic by your family doctor and/or health care staff.
